About IO
IO is the token of io.net, a decentralized network that aggregates GPU capacity from independent data centres and individual operators into clusters for AI and machine-learning workloads.
How the Network Works
The platform pools GPUs from many sources and presents them as on-demand clusters that machine-learning engineers can deploy to in minutes, without the procurement cycles of traditional cloud providers. It runs on Solana for settlement, and operators are paid for the capacity and uptime they supply.
The History of IO
io.net launched in 2023 and grew quickly during a period of acute GPU scarcity, when access to compute was a bottleneck for AI development. The IO token launched in mid-2024, and the network has since worked on verifying that advertised capacity is genuinely available.
What IO Is Used For
IO pays for compute on the network and rewards suppliers for providing capacity. It is also used in the staking arrangements that hold operators to their uptime commitments.

Why buy IO with YouHodler? +
YouHodler combines advanced security and encryption with a simple way to buy and sell IO, fast crypto transactions, support for multiple fiat currencies, and a platform that works for newcomers and experienced traders alike.
Is IO a good investment? +
io.net targets a real bottleneck in AI development and can aggregate capacity faster than traditional providers can procure it. Decentralized compute networks have struggled to verify genuine supply and to retain paying customers against established clouds, and GPU scarcity has eased since launch. IO is volatile and high risk — research actual paid usage before investing.
Can I buy IO today and sell it tomorrow? +
Yes. YouHodler supports selling as well as buying, so you can acquire IO and later exchange it for fiat currencies such as USD or EUR. Transactions settle quickly, major fiat currencies are supported, and withdrawals go out by bank transfer.
Is it safe to buy IO? +
Buying IO is generally safe on a reliable platform like YouHodler, which applies data encryption, identity verification and multi-layer account protection. The asset itself stays highly volatile, so prices can move sharply over short periods.
How do I convert IO to cash? +
Connect a bank account, debit card or credit card to your YouHodler profile, exchange your IO for a fiat currency such as USD or EUR, then withdraw the balance straight to your bank.
How much is $100 worth of IO right now? +
That depends on the live IO price, which moves constantly. Use the price chart on this page to see the current rate and work out exactly how much IO $100 buys at this moment.
