About Pendle
Pendle is a protocol for trading future yield. It splits a yield-bearing asset into a principal component and a yield component, so each can be traded separately, letting users fix a rate or speculate on where rates go.
How Pendle Works
Depositing a yield-bearing token mints two assets: one representing the principal, redeemable at maturity, and one representing the yield until then. Selling the yield component locks in a fixed return; buying it is a leveraged bet that rates will rise. A purpose-built automated market maker handles the pricing of assets that decay towards maturity.
The History of Pendle
Launched in 2021, Pendle found its audience during the liquid-staking and restaking cycles, when demand to hedge or speculate on variable yields grew sharply. It became one of the larger DeFi protocols by value locked and has expanded across several networks.
What PENDLE Is Used For
PENDLE is locked to receive vePENDLE, which directs incentives towards chosen pools and earns a share of protocol revenue. It also carries governance rights over the protocol's direction and market listings.

Why buy Pendle with YouHodler? +
YouHodler combines advanced security and encryption with a simple way to buy and sell PENDLE, fast crypto transactions, support for multiple fiat currencies, and a platform that works for newcomers and experienced traders alike.
Is Pendle a good investment? +
Pendle built a genuinely novel market — tradeable yield — and captured real demand during the restaking cycle, with a revenue-sharing token model. The mechanics are complex, and the protocol's activity depends on there being attractive variable yields elsewhere to trade. PENDLE is volatile — understand the model before investing.
Can I buy Pendle today and sell it tomorrow? +
Yes. YouHodler supports selling as well as buying, so you can acquire PENDLE and later exchange it for fiat currencies such as USD or EUR. Transactions settle quickly, major fiat currencies are supported, and withdrawals go out by bank transfer.
Is it safe to buy Pendle? +
Buying PENDLE is generally safe on a reliable platform like YouHodler, which applies data encryption, identity verification and multi-layer account protection. The asset itself stays highly volatile, so prices can move sharply over short periods.
How do I convert Pendle to cash? +
Connect a bank account, debit card or credit card to your YouHodler profile, exchange your PENDLE for a fiat currency such as USD or EUR, then withdraw the balance straight to your bank.
